2009 Volunteer Opportunities

NOVACO is working on a business plan to start a furniture re-sale store. Furniture benefits our clients, as well as low income families in the community. Volunteers to help write the plan are needed.
We are looking for warehouse space to put the furniture in until ready for to give to our families. We just get lots of furniture donations and many times have to turn it down donations.
We need volunteers interested in helping on our PR and Marketing committee. We have great volunteers and need to get some of the things we do into the local papers, etc.
NOVACO needs volunteers to help with our Mother's Day brunch Sat the 9th of May.

Volunteer Groups:
Making meals - NOVACO families meet at a location near Fair Oaks Mall. Your group can prepare and cook dinner in advance and bring it to us on Monday night 5:30. For details contact info@novaco.org or call 703-425-2490.
MAINTENANCE -NOVACO owns most of the condo's where our families live. We need your support to keep them in great shape. Make use of your handyman & landscaping skills for the following repairs:
NOVACO provides supplies and fixtures but may need assistance picking up supplies.
Volunteers with TRUCKS: If you can pick up furniture once a month. We receive furniture donation calls and would be able to email you information and give you 4 days to two weeks notice . NOVACO also reimburses for gas expenses. Contact Victoria at 703-425-2490 or email volunteer@novaco.org.
